Position:        

 Java/J2EE Developer

Core Requirements of Position: 

1. Working with the business users to identify, analyze, and implement their business requirements. 
2. Thoroughly understand the business requirements in order to formulate a design approach through Macro and Micro Analysis and provide a detailed build plan.  
3. Adhere to defined project timelines and have the ability to handle multiple projects, as the position requires. 
4. Monitor, report, and effectively communicate project status through the agreed upon reporting structure. 
5. Strong work ethic and team dynamic approach. 

Technical (IT) Background:

1. Hands on experience in application development using Java 2, J2EE, EJB 2.0, JDBC, JSP, Servlets, JMS, HTML, XML, and RMI. 
2. Experience in software development, web applications, client/server technology, distributed applications and other custom built applications on UNIX and Windows. 
3. Strong in Object – oriented design/analysis, J2EE design patterns. 
4. Extensive experience in Java development using Javabeans, Servlets, EJB, J2EE compliance. MVC architecture. 
5. Strong Web development skills. Experience in multi-tier Client-Server based Internet technology; Web based systems, framework development for Internet application. 
6. Thorough knowledge with J2EE application platform configuration and performance optimization. Hands on experience with J2EE application deployment technology, EJB transaction implementation (CMP, BMP). 
7. Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, XML, CSS, SQL. 
8. Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, unit test, system test, deployment, and production support. 
9. Have excellent communication skills, work ethics and the ability to work well in a team or individual environment. 
10. Experience using RAD. 
11. Experience with developing/using WebServices (SOAP, WSDL). 
12. Experience with JSTL/Struts Framework. 
13. Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture 

Extras: 

1. Knowledge of IBM WebSphere Commerce Suite 6.x / 7.x framework
2. Experience with MQSeries, Taxware, WebSphere MQ, WebSphere ESB, WebSphere Message Broker, Endeca, Lucene
3. Proficient in using MS Office, MS Project, Visio, and Lotus Notes
4. WebSphere Product Certification
