Jamdiul Akhar is the sixth Islamic month. This month is renowned for two very important events, one jubilant another somber. Ironically, both events pertain to one most illustrious personality: Hadhrat Fatima Zahra, peace be upon her and her pure progeny, the Ahlul Bayt.

Hadhrat Fatima, was born in Maccah, on the 20th day of the month of Jamadi-ul-Akhar Akhar, five years after the Prophet had proclaimed his Prophethood.. She tragically passed away from this world,at the prime age of 18, in Medina,on the 3rd day of the month of Jamadi-ul-Akhar 11A.H., ninety days after the passing away of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his pure progeny.
